Billing

View your organization's credit balance, buy more credits through Razorpay, and configure usage alerts.

The Billing page (/billing) shows your organization's credit balance and lets you buy more. Talkr's billing is purely usage-based — there are no subscription tiers — so credits are the whole story: they cover LLM/STT/TTS usage on Talkr's own keys until you configure your own. Talkr processes payments through Razorpay.

On self-hosted deployments, buying credits must be configured by an administrator (Razorpay API keys) before this page shows purchase buttons. The credit balance itself is always visible.

Trial credits

Every new organization gets a one-time grant of free credits, usable the moment you sign up — before you've configured any of your own LLM/STT/TTS API keys. When a workflow doesn't have BYOK configured for a given service, Talkr automatically falls back to its own key for that service and meters usage against your credit balance, so you can build a flow and place a real test call immediately.

The Credits remaining card on the Billing page shows your current balance. Credits cover LLM tokens, TTS characters, and STT audio across a call — whichever services you haven't BYOK'd yourself. As soon as you add your own key for a service (Settings → AI Model Configuration), calls stop drawing credits for that service, regardless of remaining balance.

To bound worst-case usage, trial-managed calls are capped at a maximum duration — long enough for a real test call, short enough that one call can't run away with your balance. Once your balance reaches zero, new calls that would need a trial-managed service are rejected with a clear message; existing BYOK-configured services keep working normally.

Buying more credits

Talkr lists a set of one-time top-up packs, each with its own price. Click Buy on a pack, or use the Buy Credits quick-buy button next to your balance.

Either button opens the Razorpay checkout widget. Complete the payment there; on success, Talkr verifies the payment and adds the purchased credits to your balance automatically.

Buying credits requires the Admin or Owner role in your organization. The buttons are visible to every member, but the purchase will be rejected if you don't have one of these roles — see Team & Invites for how roles work.

Usage alerts

Usage alert thresholds aren't on the Billing page — they're configured under Settings → Security, in the Usage Alerts section. Set a monthly call-minutes cap for your organization, and Talkr notifies you when usage crosses 50%, 80%, and 100% of that cap during the current billing cycle. Leave it blank to disable alerting — there's no platform-wide default cap.

Changing the usage-alert cap requires permission to manage billing for your organization.
