Microsoft Teams
Post channel/chat messages, check colleague presence, and create Teams meetings from a live call.
The Microsoft Teams connector lets your voice agents escalate to a human without hanging up — post to a channel, message a specific colleague, check whether they're actually available first, or spin up a Teams meeting and hand the caller a join link. Built on Microsoft Graph.
Connect it
- Go to /connectors and click Connect on Microsoft Teams.
- Talkr shows you a redirect URI — register it in your Azure AD app registration.
- Enter your app's Client ID and Client Secret, then click Save & Authorize.
- You're redirected to Microsoft's consent screen. Approve access, and you're returned to Talkr connected.
You need your own Azure AD app registration — Talkr does not provide a shared app. Grant it the delegated Graph permissions ChannelMessage.Send, Chat.ReadWrite, OnlineMeetings.ReadWrite, and Presence.Read.All; several of these require admin consent in most tenants.
Actions
| Action | Description | Parameters |
|---|---|---|
send_channel_message | Post a message to a Teams channel. | team_id (required), channel_id (required), message (required) |
send_chat_message | Send a message in a specific 1:1 or group chat. | chat_id (required), message (required) |
get_user_presence | Check a colleague's availability (Available/Busy/Away/DoNotDisturb/Offline) before escalating live. | user_id (required — email or Azure AD object ID) |
create_online_meeting | Create a standalone Teams meeting and get its join link. | start_time (required), end_time (required), subject |
Attach these to a workflow node like any other tool — see Tools for how tool attachment and invocation work.
Example
An agent handling a complex complaint calls get_user_presence for the on-call supervisor; if they're Available, it calls send_chat_message with a summary and asks the caller to hold for a warm transfer instead of a cold callback.
